Revised Policy on Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS)

NOTIFICATION

No. PE. 114/ 2009/ 206 Dated Dispur the 31st October, 2009

In partial modification of the earlier Notification issued vide No. PE. 4/ 2006/ 28 dated 15-02-2006 on the revised policy on Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) for the employees of the State Level Public Enterprises of Assam, the following new para is added as the last para in clause (2):-

"Henceforth the PSU and the Administrative Department while submitting any revival / closure proposal which is inclusive of employees dues against VRS / Arrear Salaries etc. must be calculated on the basis of the VRS Policy No. PE. 4/ 2006/ 28 dated 15-02-2006 specifically stating that the VRS etc. benefits have been calculated on the basis of Pay Scales based on the ROP, as applicable, which has the concurrence of the Finance (PRU) Department. The Public Enterprises Department will not consider any such proposal which does not have the concurrences of the Board of Directors, the Administrative Department and the Finance (PRU) Deptt. and which is not specific regarding the basis of calculation – Revised or Pre-revised scale of pay."
