Dated Dispur the 2nd April, 2008.

No. PE. 28/ 2005/ 118 : With a view to bring about a reform in the State Public Sector, it is hereby notified that the ASSAM SYNTEX LTD, a State Government Undertaking under the administrative control of Industries & Commerce Department has been decided by the State Government to be closed under Asian Development Bank's Assam Governance & Public Resource Management Programme (AGPRMP) - Reform of Public Sector Enterprises.

After closure, the land of the Assam Syntex Ltd. will get vested in the Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Assam.
